Kavveri Defence Develops Indigenous Dual-Polarised High-Gain Antenna System for Critical Drone Deployments of Indian Armed Forces

Kavveri Defence & Wireless Technologies Ltd. (BSE: 590041, NSE: KAVDEFENCE), a leader in advanced RF solutions, serving defence, Aerospace, public safety, counter-drone systems, and fixed wireless access, has announced the successful design and development of an advanced dual-polarised, high-gain antenna system, engineered entirely in-house, which has now been shipped to a key defence customer supplying next-generation drone platforms to the Indian Armed Forces. 

The product has been engineered from the ground up in a very compact and ruggedised form factor, ensuring suitability for demanding field environments and platform-mounted mission profiles. The development and execution were completed under a compressed timeline as part of an emergency procurement requirement of strategic importance. Kavveri’s antenna system was chosen over an incumbent North American supplier, marking a significant achievement for the Company and a noteworthy step toward India’s growing technological self-Reliance. 

This milestone reflects the accelerating adoption of sovereign defence communications technology and strengthens Kavveri’s position as a trusted provider of mission-critical wireless systems aligned with the objectives of national security and capability enhancement.

Earlier, the company announced that it plans to expand its manufacturing operations with the Construction of a new facility at its existing site in Surajakkanahalli, Bengaluru. 

The new facility will add 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space, with the flexibility to expand up to 50,000 square feet in the future. This investment will enable the company to increase production throughout, streamline supply chain workflows, and strengthen its capability to serve both domestic and international demand across the defence, wireless, and industrial communication sectors. 

Following this expansion, the company’s current headquarters will be redesigned as a dedicated Research and Development Centre. The headquarters will now house advanced antenna design laboratories, RF testing infrastructure, simulation clusters, and low-volume prototype lines. This transition will create a clear separation between core production and innovation functions, allowing Kavveri to increase design agility while scaling output capacity. The investment also supports the company’s broader mission to advance indigenous technologies under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
