Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today. 

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 131 points or 0.15 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.39 per cent, power zoomed by 0.22 per cent, and auto surged by 0.46 per cent.

Meanwhile, Patel Engineering Ltd, Shoppers Stop Ltd and Brigade Enterprises Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.

Patel Engineering Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.18 per cent to trade at Rs 35.54 apiece. Patel Engineering Ltd received two LOIs from Saidax Engineers for excavation and coal transport at Jhiria West OCP, Bilaspur, valued at Rs 798.19 crore. The nine-year project covers overburden removal, coal cutting, loading, transportation, and equipment maintenance.

The company’s MD, Kavita Shirvaikar, highlighted this adds to a tender pipeline of over Rs 34,000 crore.

Shoppers Stop Ltd, an S&P BSE company, gained 6.90 per cent and was trading at Rs 453.90 apiece. Shoppers Stop Ltd informed the exchanges that it has completed the fourth tranche of its planned investment in Global SS Beauty Brands Ltd (GSSBL), its wholly owned material subsidiary. The company invested Rs 10 Crores on November 24, 2025 through subscription to 1,000 NOCPS issued on a rights basis. With this, Shoppers Stop’s total investment in GSSBL’s preference share capital has increased to Rs 105 Crores. The funds will support GSSBL’s expansion, working capital needs, and growth in its beauty retail and distribution business.

Brigade Enterprises Ltd, an S&P BSE company, advanced 5.38 per cent to trade at Rs 959.95 apiece. Brigade Enterprises Ltd has signed a 90-year lease for 4.859 acres with Electronics Technology Parks in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The project will feature 1.2 million sq.ft of development, including World Trade Center Trivandrum and a five-star hotel with 200+ keys.

IPO today

With no activity in the mainboard IPO space, the issue of SSMD Agrotech India Ltd. will close today in the SME segment, while IPOs of K K Silk Mills Ltd. and Mother Nutri Foods Ltd. will enter the second day of bidding.
