Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen in These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.12 per cent at 84,961 and the Nifty-50 down 0.14 per cent at 26,141. About 2,109 shares have advanced, 2,064 shares have declined and 175 shares have been unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 86,056 on November 27, 2025 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,373.20 on January 05, 2026.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.47 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.12 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Tata Elxsi Ltd, KPIT Technologies Ltd, Tata Technologies Ltd and Persistent Systems Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri Ltd, AGI Infra Ltd, Radhika Jeweltech Ltd and Senco Gold Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE IT Index and BSE Focused IT Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Utilities Index and BSE Telecommunication Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 07, 2026, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 480 lakh crore or USD 5.34 trillion. On the same day, 140 stocks hit a 52-week high while 121 stocks touched a 52-week low.
