Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 160 points or 0.22 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals dropped by 0.12 per cent, power zoomed by 0.04 per cent, and auto slipped by 0.04 per cent.

Meanwhile, SignatureGlobal India Ltd, PC Jeweller Ltd and Kalpataru Projects International Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.

SignatureGlobal India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 3.09 per cent to trade at Rs 812.95 apiece. The company recently acquired a 194.22-acre land parcel in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram, with an estimated developable area of 6.77 million sq ft and a gross development value of around Rs 5,500-6,000 crore.

PC Jeweller Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 3.05 per cent to trade at Rs 14.55 apiece. The company has recently provided multiple updates on clearance of outstanding debt and allotment of equity shares following warrant conversions; it also disclosed on September 26 that Balram Garg and persons acting in concert had made a disclosure under SEBI's SAST regulations.

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 2.55 per cent to trade at Rs 1,426.50 apiece. The company reported strong Q1 FY27 financial results in August, with growth in its operating performance.
