52-Week Low Alert: Solar company receives order worth Rs 51,59,00,000 from Telangana

The stock plunged 0.9 per cent and made a 52-week low of Rs 283.25 per share.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd has received a significant order in the state of Telangana for the supply of Solar rooftop components, marking its entry into the solar rooftop business. The domestic order, valued at approximately Rs 51,59,00,000 (exclusive of GST), covers the supply of Solar roof top panels, Inverters, ACDB (AC Distribution Box), DCDB (DC Distribution Box), and Solar Modules for Telangana households. The company highlighted that this is its first such order, achieved shortly after announcing its foray into the solar rooftop sector.

Earlier, the company received a domestic contract from the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) under the PM Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana, which is being implemented as Component-B of the PM KUSUM scheme. The Letter of Award, with a broad commercial consideration of approximately Rs 4.75 crore (excluding GST), is for the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of 197 Off-Grid DC & AC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS). The work is required to be executed within 120 days.
