Bajel Projects wins over Rs 400 crore ultra-mega EPC orders for 500 kV transmission lines in the MENA region.
The Indian equity markets traded on a strong note on Wednesday, with the Nifty 50 index rising by 310.35 points or 1.29 per cent to 24,306.05 during the session. Amid broad-based buying in infrastructure and capital goods counters, stock-specific momentum was visible in select EPC and transmission companies. In this segment, Bajel Projects' share price surged 6.14 per cent to Rs 192.50 after the company announced securing an Ultra-Mega international EPC order for the Construction of a 500 kV overhead transmission line in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Bajel Projects Secures Ultra-Mega International Transmission Order
Bajel Projects Limited informed the exchanges that it has secured two international orders cumulatively falling under the Ultra-Mega category from a Middle East and North Africa-based international client. As per the company’s order classification policy, Ultra-Mega orders refer to projects valued at Rs 400 crore and above.
The scope of work includes the construction of two contiguous sections of a 500 kV overhead transmission line under Lot 1 and Lot 5. The company stated that the project forms part of a flagship national grid reinforcement programme aimed at strengthening high-voltage transmission infrastructure in the MENA region. The execution timeline for the project is 11 months from the commencement date.
Bajel Projects Shareholding Pattern
As per the March 2026 shareholding pattern, promoter holding in the company stood stable at 62.53 per cent, unchanged from the December 2025 quarter.
Foreign Institutional Investors increased their holding to 0.50 per cent in March 2026 from 0.40 per cent in the previous quarter. Domestic Institutional Investors also increased their stake to 9.58 per cent from 9.06 per cent sequentially, while public shareholding declined to 27.39 per cent from 28.01 per cent.
The total number of shareholders stood at 83,533 as of March 2026 compared to 83,991 in the December 2025 quarter.
