HDFC AMC Reports 16% Profit Growth in FY26; Announces Rs 54 Final Dividend

HDFC AMC posts FY26 profit of Rs 2,858 crore as revenue climbs; Q4 profit declines sequentially amid tax and other income changes.
On Thursday, Indian markets traded on a weak note, with the Nifty 50 declining 0.36 per cent to 24,145.00, down 86.30 points from the previous close. Amid this, HDFC Asset Management Company (HDFC AMC) share price was trading at Rs 2,636.90, down 1.01 per cent from the previous close of Rs 2,663, following the announcement of its Q4FY26 and FY26 results.
The decline in the stock comes despite a steady annual performance, while quarterly earnings showed some moderation.
HDFC AMC Q4FY26 Results: QoQ and YoY Performance
On a QoQ basis, consolidated profit stood at Rs 622.66 crore in Q4FY26, compared to Rs 769.42 crore in Q3FY26, resulting in a decline of around 19 per cent. Revenue from operations was reported at Rs 1,051.51 crore, as against Rs 1,075.10 crore in the previous quarter.
On a YoY basis, profit after Tax was Rs 622.66 crore compared to Rs 638.46 crore in Q4FY25, resulting in a decline of around 2.5 per cent. Total income increased to Rs 1,063.06 crore from Rs 1,025.48 crore in the same period last year, registering a growth of around 3.7 per cent.
HDFC AMC FY26 Financial Performance
For the full financial year FY26, consolidated profit after tax rose to Rs 2,858.06 crore from Rs 2,460.19 crore in FY25, marking a growth of around 16 per cent.
Revenue from operations increased to Rs 4,122.16 crore from Rs 3,498.44 crore, resulting in a growth of approximately 17.8 per cent, while total income rose to Rs 4,622.20 crore compared to Rs 4,060.10 crore in the previous year, registering a growth of around 13.8 per cent. Profit before tax stood at Rs 3,709.15 crore, up from Rs 3,285.58 crore in FY25, resulting in a growth of approximately 12.9 per cent.
Dividend and Bonus Update
The board of HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd has recommended a final dividend of Rs 54 per equity share of face value Rs 5 each for FY26, subject to approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. The dividend, if approved, will be paid within the statutory timelines.
Additionally, during the year, the company approved and allotted 1:1 bonus shares, issuing 21,41,54,246 fully paid-up equity shares of Rs 5 each on November 27, 2025, by capitalising reserves, including the Capital Redemption Reserve and Securities Premium Account. Consequently, earnings per share for previous periods have been restated to reflect the impact of the bonus issue.

Tax Adjustments and Regulatory Impact
During FY26, the company reassessed its tax position and reversed earlier provisions worth Rs 46.81 crore, which positively impacted profits.
However, changes introduced under the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024, including revised capital gains taxation and removal of indexation benefits, resulted in an increase in deferred tax liability by Rs 69.75 crore, creating a partial offset to earnings.
