Here is the list of the top performing mid-cap funds; do you own them?

Throughout the previous year, Indian stock markets outpaced major global indices. In the last year, S&P BSE Sensex returned 5.84 per cent, while S&P BSE Mid Cap index and S&P BSE Small Cap index produced returns of 3.43 per cent and 3.4 per cent, respectively. S&P BSE Sensex, S&P BSE MidCap index, and S&P BSE SmallCap index all performed worse than the interest rate given by bank fixed deposits. 

In spite of this, 24 of the 25 Mid-Cap mutual funds beat the S&P BSE Mid Cap index. In fact, 14 of the 25 funds had double-digit returns. 

The accompanying table shows that, on average, mid-cap mutual funds have performed largely in line with the Nifty Mid-Cap 150 Total Returns Index (TRI). Mid-cap funds, on the other hand, have fallen less than their benchmark during difficult times. The Year-Till-Date (YTD) results computed for the period spanning January 2–February 24 of 2023 make this clear.
