KP Group has announced a new strategic partnership with AHES Co. Ltd. of South Korea and GH2 Solar Ltd. of India to build and operate a green ammonia production facility. This new plant will have a capacity of 100,000 metric tons per annum (TPA) and will contribute to India's National Green Hydrogen Mission.
The partnership is formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KPI Green Hydrogen & Ammonia Private Limited (KPI GH), a KP Group company. AHES and GH2 will provide technical and strategic support and will also help secure off-take agreements for the green ammonia, with a focus on markets in South Korea and Japan.
The facility will use renewable energy and infrastructure provided by other KP Group entities, including KPI Green Energy Limited, K.P. Energy Limited and KP Green Engineering Limited. This integrated approach is a key part of KP Group's strategy, leveraging its over 30 years of experience and its current portfolio of over 1.9 GW of installed power capacity.
AHES Co. Ltd. will contribute its expertise in hydrogen electrolysers and Power-to-Gas solutions, while GH2 Solar Ltd. will bring its deep local knowledge in solar infrastructure and green hydrogen production. The 15-year collaboration ensures a stable pricing structure tied to international ammonia benchmarks, reinforcing KP Group's commitment to India's green energy transition.
