Maharatna CPSE Order: Refex Industries Secures Rs 21.15 Crore Ash Transportation Contract

Refex Industries has secured a Rs 21.15 crore order from a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise for transportation of ash to NHAI and government road construction projects.
On Thursday, Indian benchmark indices ended marginally higher, with the Nifty 50 gaining 34.35 points, or 0.14 per cent, to close at 24,056. Amid the positive market sentiment, Refex Industries Limited gained 3.21 per cent to close at Rs 348.95 after the company announced a new order worth approximately Rs 21.15 crore from Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE).
Refex Industries Secures Rs 21.15 Crore Order
Refex Industries Limited informed the stock exchanges that it has received an order from a Major Power Producer, classified as a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise, for the transportation of ash to Construction sites of road projects.
The scope of work includes transportation of ash to projects undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) as well as road projects executed by Central and State Government departments and projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
The company clarified that the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not constitute a related-party transaction. It also confirmed that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity.
Execution Scheduled Over 12 Months
The total value of the order stands at approximately Rs 21.15 crore, and the project is scheduled to be executed within 12 months from the date of award.
Strengthens Ash Logistics Business
The latest order aligns with Refex Industries' ash handling and coal logistics business. The company provides ash transportation and disposal services for thermal power producers, with fly ash increasingly being utilised in road construction and infrastructure projects as part of the government's waste utilisation initiatives.
Orders from Maharatna power producers are considered an important part of the company's logistics portfolio, supported by long-term demand arising from thermal power generation and infrastructure development.
