Tata Motors secures orders for over 5,000 buses from multiple State Transport Undertakings across India
The share price of Tata-motors-ltd-322918">Tata Motors Limited are in focus during today’s trading session after the company announced that it has secured cumulative orders for more than 5,000 buses and bus chassis from multiple State Transport Undertakings (STUs) across India. The orders were awarded through a competitive e-bidding process under the Government’s procurement system, with deliveries scheduled to be deployed in phases as agreed with the respective transport undertakings.

The orders have been received from several state transport bodies including MSRTC (Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation), GSRTC (Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation), NWKRTC (North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation), TGSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation), BSRTC (Bihar State Road Transport Corporation), RSRTC (Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation), KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation), Haryana Roadways, and Chandigarh Transport Undertaking. These contracts highlight Tata Motors’ strong presence in India’s public transport ecosystem and reinforce its position as a key mobility solutions provider for government transport agencies.

Wide range of bus models included in the order
The overall orders include a range of Tata Motors’ passenger mobility solutions such as Tata Magna, Tata Cityride, Tata Starbus, Tata Starbus Prime, Tata LPO 1618, LPO 1622, and LPO 1822 variants. These buses and chassis are configured for intercity, long-haul, and intracity operations, offering reliable performance, passenger comfort, and efficient operating economics across different duty cycles.
