MIC Electronics Shares Hit Upper Circuit: Key Details

Stock gains after Rs. 2.12 crore Indian Railways order; company also eyes semiconductor expansion.

MIC Electronics’ share price hit the Upper Circuit, rising 4.97 per cent to trade at Rs 31.46 as of 12:10 pm on April 1, 2026. The stock witnessed strong buying interest following the announcement of a new domestic contract.

The recent movement in the share price comes after the company received a Letter of Acceptance from the Sambalpur Division of the East Coast Railway Zone under Indian Railways. The contract involves the supply and installation of Coach Indication Boards (CIB) and Train Indication Boards (TIB) across multiple railway stations, including BGBR, NPD, JNRD, AMB, and RGL.

The total value of the order stands at Rs 2,12,68,360.23, and the execution period for the project is 6 months. The order has been secured through a standard tender process, indicating competitive positioning in the railway display and signaling segment. This development is seen as a positive trigger for the stock, as it strengthens the company’s presence in railway infrastructure projects. In addition to this, the company had recently announced a major strategic development. In a board meeting held on March 30, 2026, MIC Electronics approved the acquisition of an 89.65 per cent stake in Singapore-based Neo Semi SG Pte. Ltd. for Rs 357.60 crore. This move indicates the company’s intent to expand into deep-tech and Semiconductor-related segments, which could open new growth avenues over the long term.
