InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, which operates IndiGo, said it will operate 252 weekly flights to and from the Middle East from March 16 to March 28, 2026, as it realigns capacity in response to the evolving situation in the region.
InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, which operates IndiGo, has announced a calibrated realignment of its Middle East network, citing the evolving situation in the region, as it restores a substantial portion of services while keeping select routes suspended.
The airline will operate 252 weekly flights to and from the Middle East from March 16 to March 28, 2026, as it adjusts capacity in response to prevailing conditions. The revised schedule brings operations close to regular levels, comprising 126 weekly flights to and from Saudi Arabia, 28 weekly flights to and from Oman, and 98 weekly flights to and from the United Arab Emirates during the period.
The company said it is aligning capacity with current conditions while maintaining essential connectivity and ensuring safe and reliable operations across the region.
IndiGo attributed the move to ongoing geopolitical risk, airspace restrictions, airport constraints, and consistently rising fuel and insurance costs, along with other uncertainties. The airline said it will continue to monitor the situation and coordinate with relevant authorities, adapting operations as required by the evolving operating environment.
Under the revised schedule, IndiGo will operate daily services on key routes including Mumbai–Abu Dhabi and Delhi–Abu Dhabi, as well as multiple daily flights between Delhi and Dubai, and Mumbai and Dubai. Services will also run on Mumbai–Muscat and Kochi–Muscat, alongside Mumbai and Delhi connections to Riyadh. The airline will maintain connectivity to Jeddah from Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Calicut, in addition to Mumbai–Madinah flights.
Passengers travelling from these Middle East destinations will continue to have onward connectivity to multiple cities in India and beyond through IndiGo’s network.
However, planned operations to Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah will remain suspended until March 28, 2026. IndiGo said it is prepared to operate additional ad hoc flights for stranded passengers if required and is publishing real-time updates on its website and social media platforms, advising passengers to check the latest flight information and travel advisories before planning their journeys.
Indigo Share Price Performance
IndiGo’s share price ended 5.58 per cent lower last week, and since the outbreak of the US-Israel-Iran conflict, it has declined by about 14 per cent.
