Quant MF has been gradually increasing its exposure to high-beta Small-Cap stocks after reducing its defensive stance. The fund house had earlier held nearly 19 per cent of its assets in cash, adopting a conservative approach amid market volatility. However, recent data suggests that cash holdings have been reduced to 7 per cent, signaling a renewed bullish stance.
As markets showed signs of recovery, Quant MF's strategic tilt toward high-beta stocks appears to have worked in its favor. The fund house had communicated its plan to prune defensive exposure and increase allocation to cyclical and growth-oriented sectors. This shift has contributed to the recent performance, with key schemes posting around 6 per cent gains in just three days.
Quant MF manages 24 equity schemes, many of which have struggled over the past year. The recent rebound has provided relief to investors, aligning with the fund house’s philosophy of leveraging market corrections to identify high-growth opportunities. Industry experts believe that if the market recovery sustains, Quant MF’s aggressive strategy could further enhance returns.
