Nifty Reclaims 26,100 Level, Bank Nifty & PSU Bank Indices Hit All-Time Highs, VIX Crashes Below 12

Indian equity benchmark indices extended their early gains and were seen trading near the day's high as of 11:15 AM on November 26. The Nifty 50 index was up by nearly 1 percent, above the 26,100 mark. Interestingly, the India VIX slipped below the level of 12, down by 4.5 percent.

The Bank Nifty index reached a fresh all-time high on November 26. On an Intraday basis, it surpassed the 59,500 level, surpassing its previous all-time high of 59,440, registered last Thursday.

All sectoral indices were trading in the green on November 26, with Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank being the Top Gainers. Nifty PSU Bank was up by 1.42 percent, marking a fresh all-time high.

The broader markets saw buying interest, with the Nifty Small-Cap index up by 1.26 percent and the Mid-Cap index up by 1.14 percent.

Among specific stocks, L&T, SBI, MCX, Federal Bank, and AB Capital were among the notable names that registered fresh all-time highs
