President of an India-backed power company declared COD for a 50 MW solar capacity project completed by a group company

The stock is up by 16.6 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 292.70 per share and has given multibagger returns of 230 per cent in 5 years.

NTPC Ltd. announced that a 50 MW solar project has been declared commercially operational as of August 24, 2025. The project is a part of the 150 MW solar plant in Bhuj, Gujarat, and was developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of a joint venture between NTPC and ONGC. This new addition increases the NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) Group's total installed capacity to 7,247.575 MW, bringing the NTPC group's total installed and commercial capacity to 83,341 MW.

About the Company

NTPC Ltd, including its subsidiaries, associates, and Joint Ventures, primarily focuses on the generation and sale of bulk power to State power utilities, while also diversifying its operations into consultancy, project management, energy trading, oil and gas exploration, and coal mining. The stock is up by 16.6 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 292.70 per share and has given multibagger returns of 230 per cent in 5 years.
