Reliance Group-Backed & Anil Ambani’s power company reports Q1FY26 PAT of Rs 45 crore; wins 350 MW solar+BESS project, becoming India's largest in solar+BESS!

The stock gave multibagger returns of 149 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 25.76 per share.

Reliance Power Limited, part of the Reliance Group, has reported a strong financial performance for Q1FY26. The company posted a total income of Rs 2,025 crore (USD 236 million), with EBITDA reaching Rs 565 crore (USD 66 million). Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 45 crore (USD 5 million). Notably, the debt-to-equity ratio remains among the lowest in the industry, and the net worth for Q1FY26 was Rs 16,431 crore (USD 1,920 million). The company's key assets, including the 3960 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project in Madhya Pradesh, demonstrated excellent operational efficiency, achieving approximately 91 per cent Plant Load Factor (PLF). The 1,200 MW Rosa Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh also showcased high availability of around 97 per cent.

Further strengthening its position in the renewable energy sector, Reliance Power's subsidiary, Reliance Nu Energies, secured a significant Letter of Award (LOA) from SJVN Limited. This LOA is for India's largest ISTS-connected solar + battery energy storage system (BESS) project, with a 350 MW capacity. This ambitious project will involve the installation of 600 MW solar DC capacity and 175 MW / 700 MWh of BESS capacity, secured at a tariff of INR 3.33/kWh through a competitive bidding process. This achievement firmly establishes Reliance Power as India's largest player in the solar + BESS segment, boasting a total of 2.4 GW of solar DC capacity and over 2.5 GWh of BESS capacity, underscoring its leadership in the evolving new energy landscape.
