Rhetan TMT Signs MOU with Bajaj Tubular for 20,000 MT TMT Bars; Commercial Potential Estimated at Rs 250-300 Crore

Rhetan TMT Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bajaj Tubular Products Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, for the proposed procurement of approximately 20,000 metric tonnes (MT) of TMT bars over a period of 24 months.

Under the MOU, Bajaj Tubular Products has expressed its intention to procure approximately 20,000 MT of TMT bars from Rhetan TMT during the 24-month term. The proposed quantity is indicative and will be fulfilled through individual purchase orders based on the actual business and project requirements of Bajaj Tubular Products, mutually agreed supply schedules, product availability and Rhetan TMT's production capabilities.

Based on its current internal commercial assesSMEnt of the broader relationship, expected product mix, potential order frequency, prevailing and anticipated market realisations, and the scope for additional business that may be mutually agreed during the relationship, Rhetan TMT's management estimates an indicative broader commercial potential of approximately Rs 250-300 crore over the 24-month period. The company clarified that this estimate represents a business opportunity assessment and is not a contracted order value or assured revenue.

The MOU provides Rhetan TMT with an opportunity to develop a long-term commercial relationship with Bajaj Tubular Products and potentially secure recurring procurement requirements over the 24-month period. Subject to actual purchase orders and successful execution, the relationship may support higher sales volumes, improved utilisation of manufacturing capabilities and a larger recurring business base for the company.

He added that the proposed arrangement provides an opportunity to build a structured and sustained commercial association while exploring additional business opportunities over the 24-month period. Separately, Rhetan TMT Limited has successfully commenced power generation from its 1 MW captive ground-mounted Solar power project at its manufacturing facility in Kadi, Gujarat. The project is now operational and generating renewable power for captive consumption, marking a step towards strengthening the company's energy infrastructure and manufacturing efficiency.
