Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has secured a Rs 447.42 crore order from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The contract, part of the Delhi MRTS Phase-IV project, involves the design and construction of a 7.298 km viaduct and seven platform-only stations between Lajpat Nagar and Saket G Block. The scope also includes Pre-Engineered Building Structures across the stations. This general contract has a completion timeline of 36 months and is part of RVNL’s routine operations, with no promoter-related interest in the awarding entity.

RVNL's total order book now stands at approximately Rs 1 lakh crore. Of this, Rs 45,000 crore is attributed to legacy projects from Indian Railways, which are gradually depleting, while Rs 55,000 crore stems from competitively won projects, indicating a shift towards a more diversified and sustainable project pipeline.
In terms of financials, RVNL's consolidated revenue for Q4 FY25 was Rs 6,426.88 crore, marking a year-on-year decline of 4.28 per cent. Profit after tax for the same period dropped 4.03 per cent to Rs 459.12 crore. For the full fiscal year FY25, revenue fell 8.94 per cent to Rs 19,923.02 crore, while net profit declined by 17.37 per cent to Rs 1,281.52 crore, suggesting margin pressures.
The RVNL stock was trading at Rs 383 as of 10:43 am IST on Tuesday, registering a modest gain of 0.18 per cent. While the stock has declined by 10.01 per cent year-to-date and by 39.87 per cent over the past 12 months, it has delivered multibagger returns of 1,800 per cent over a five-year period, highlighting its long-term wealth creation potential.
RVNL operates in the Mid-Cap segment and plays a critical role in rail infrastructure development. Its projects span the construction of new lines, gauge conversion, electrification, major bridges, workshops, station redevelopment, and suburban systems. The company also engages in PPP models to raise funds for rail projects and has played a key role in supporting the government's infrastructure ambitions.
