GK Energy secured a Rs 235.92 crore order from MSEDCL to deploy 10,000 solar-powered water pumping systems across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana

On Monday, Indian benchmark indices traded higher in early trade. As of the latest available trade, the Nifty 50 gained 136.95 points, or 0.56 per cent, to 24,407.80. Amid the positive market sentiment, GK Energy share price rose 2.53 per cent to Rs 143.17 after the company announced a major order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).

GK Energy Bags Rs 235.92 Crore MSEDCL Order

GK Energy has secured a Rs 235.92 crore order (inclusive of GST) from MSEDCL for the deployment of 10,000 Off-Grid DC Solar-Powered Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana.

The contract includes the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP solar-powered agricultural pumping systems. The project is scheduled to be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the Work Order or Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Cumulative MSEDCL Orders Cross Rs 637 Crore

With this latest contract, GK Energy's cumulative orders from MSEDCL have reached Rs 637.83 crore (inclusive of GST), reinforcing the company's long-standing association with the state utility and its growing presence in India's renewable energy infrastructure sector.

The project is aimed at expanding solar-powered irrigation infrastructure across Maharashtra by providing farmers with reliable and sustainable energy for irrigation while reducing dependence on conventional power sources. The order also strengthens the company's execution pipeline in the fast-growing decentralised renewable energy segment.
