Solar Equipment Manufacturer Company Inaugurates 5.6 GW Module Facility; Total Capacity Rises to 11.1 GW; Share Price Jumps 4%

Premier Energies has inaugurated a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Telangana and commenced construction of a 6 GWh battery energy storage system facility and an 18,000 MTPA aluminium frames plant.
On Thursday, Indian equity benchmarks traded higher, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index rising 0.80 per cent to 24,074.65. Amid the broader market strength, Premier Energies share price traded at Rs 1,089.40, up 4.36 per cent from the previous close after the company inaugurated its next-generation Solar module manufacturing facility in Telangana and announced expansion into battery energy storage and aluminium frame manufacturing.
Premier Energies Inaugurates 5.6 GW Solar Module Facility
Premier Energies inaugurated its new 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur, Telangana. With the commissioning of the new plant, the company's total solar module manufacturing capacity has increased to 11.1 GW, strengthening its manufacturing capabilities for domestic and international markets.
The new facility features G12R TOPCon module manufacturing lines, India's first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, AGV-enabled material-handling systems, and AI-powered quality inspection technology. According to the company, the automated production lines can manufacture one solar module every four seconds while maintaining high precision and quality.
Groundbreaking for BESS and Aluminium Frames Facilities
Alongside the inauguration, Premier Energies performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility and an 18,000 metric tonnes per annum aluminium frames manufacturing facility at the same campus.
The company said the expansion into battery storage and aluminium frame manufacturing is aimed at strengthening its clean energy value chain, enhancing supply chain integration and supporting India's self-Reliance in renewable energy manufacturing. The 75-acre Seetharampur campus is expected to generate more than 3,000 jobs once fully operational.
