Solar & Wind Power Company Places Over 3.1 GWh BESS Order to Boost Renewable Energy Projects in India

The stock has given multibagger returns of 111 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 541.50 per share.

On July 7, 2025, ACME Solar Holdings Limited announced one of India's largest procurement deals for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), exceeding 3.1 GWh. The company placed this order with leading global energy system suppliers, Zhejiang Narada and Trina Energy. Both suppliers are known for their scalable and efficient storage solutions. This major investment is expected to support ACME Solar’s deployment of BESS across various Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) and battery-linked projects in India.

The projects are scheduled for commissioning over the next 12 to 18 months, spanning multiple states. ACME Solar mentioned that phased deliveries will begin within the next four to eight months of the current fiscal year. The company confirmed that the total order value is within the budgeted cost framework, contributing to capital expenditure efficiency. Technical performance and supplier reliability remain central to the company's procurement strategy.

ACME Solar highlighted that the early placement of this BESS order will accelerate project execution timelines and support timely revenue realization. The procured equipment complies with international safety and performance standards, including IEC and UL certifications, ensuring reliability and safety across all installations.

The company has a market cap of over Rs 15,000 crore. The shares of the company have a PE of 66x, an ROE of 8 per cent and an ROCE of 8 per cent. The stock has given over 50 per cent returns from its 52-week low of Rs 167.55 per share.

The company’s current portfolio includes 6,970 MW of capacity across solar, wind, hybrid, and storage solutions, with 2,890 MW operational and 4,080 MW under development. It also operates 550 MWh of storage capacity. With in-house Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) divisions, ACME Solar is positioned to deliver cost-effective and timely execution while maintaining industry-standard Capacity Utilization Factors (CUF) and operating margins.

This move further strengthens India’s clean energy infrastructure and reflects ACME Solar’s strategic focus on energy storage as a core pillar of renewable energy deployment.
