Stainless Steel Pipes Manufacturer Commissions New Fittings Facility And Expands Seamless Pipes Capacity; DII Stake Increases In Q4FY26

On Tuesday, the Indian equity benchmarks traded marginally higher during the morning session, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index rising 0.11 per cent to 24,057.45. Metal and industrial manufacturing stocks remained in focus following operational expansion announcements. In this segment, Venus Pipes & Tubes share price jumps 3.34 per cent to Rs 1,461.60 after the company announced commencement of commercial operations at its fittings facility along with expanded seamless pipes and tubes capacity.

Capacity Expansion Details

Venus Pipes announced that it has commenced commercial operations of its fittings facility along with commissioning of additional seamless pipes and tubes capacity.

The company successfully commissioned an additional seamless pipes/tubes capacity of 4,200 MTPA under the current expansion phase. With this, the total seamless pipes/tubes capacity added under the overall expansion program now stands at 6,000 MTPA, higher than the initially planned 4,800 MTPA. This includes the earlier commissioned 1,800 MTPA capacity in November 2025.

Alongside the expansion, the company also commissioned equivalent capacity of Mother Hollow Pipes as part of its backward integration strategy for seamless pipes manufacturing.

Forward Integration Strategy

Venus Pipes also commenced operations at its fittings facility, marking a significant step in its forward integration strategy and expansion into value-added stainless steel product categories.

The company stated that both the fittings business and seamless pipes/tubes expansion are aimed at enhancing its value-added product portfolio and strengthening its positioning as a comprehensive stainless steel piping solutions provider.

The expanded operations are expected to improve product mix, deepen customer engagement and support long-term growth opportunities across sectors including Power, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Engineering, Data Centres and Semiconductor manufacturing.
