Stock Below Rs 50: Multibagger Renewable Energy Stock Reports 23% YoY Revenue Growth in Q1 FY27; Board Approves Singapore Subsidiary Despite 8% Share Price Fall

Suzlon Energy reported strong double-digit revenue growth and record first-quarter deliveries, while approving the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore to expand its international wind energy and operations & maintenance business.
On Tuesday, Indian equity benchmark indices traded marginally lower, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index declining 6.35 points, or 0.03 per cent, to 23,984.35. Despite reporting healthy quarterly earnings and announcing an overseas expansion plan, Suzlon Energy share price fell 7.54 per cent to Rs 49.14.
Suzlon Q1 FY27 Results
On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations increased 22.5 per cent YoY to Rs 3,819.36 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 3,117.33 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company reported EBITDA of Rs 595 crore, broadly in line with the year-ago period, while the EBITDA margin stood at 15.6 per cent. Profit Before Tax (PBT) declined 15.2 per cent YoY to Rs 389.47 crore from Rs 459.23 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) decreased 5.9 per cent YoY to Rs 305.22 crore, compared with Rs 324.32 crore in Q1 FY26. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 0.22, against Rs 0.24 in the corresponding quarter last year.

Suzlon achieved its highest-ever first-quarter deliveries of 506 MW, representing 14 per cent YoY growth, while commissioning increased 2.3 times YoY to 269 MW.
During the quarter, the company secured record new orders of nearly 1 GW, including major DevCo-led EPC orders from Tata Power, Sunsure Energy and Waaree Group. Suzlon's cumulative order book stood at around 6.1 GW, with 84 per cent of orders coming from the PSU and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segments. The EPC share also increased to 32 per cent from 22 per cent a year ago.

Singapore Subsidiary Approved
The Board approved the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore to strengthen the company's international wind energy and Operations & Maintenance Services (OMS) business, supporting Suzlon's global expansion strategy.
Operational Highlights
During the quarter, Suzlon unveiled its S175 (5 MW) wind turbine platform in India and Europe and secured its first domestic order for the platform. The company also launched its Suzlon 2.0 strategy, comprising four business verticals—RE Tech, RE DevCo, RE Projects and RE Asset Management Services.
Suzlon doubled the rotor blade manufacturing capacity at its Jaisalmer facility from 630 MW to 1,260 MW, while progressing with the execution of the landmark 1.2 GW NTPC project in Gujarat.

EBITDA and PAT margins were in line with ongoing developments, given the temporary logistic disruptions arising from the geopolitical situation, certain strategic investments, and change of scope and segment mix."
