Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on October 17

At noon on Monday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 are trading marginally higher amidst extreme volatility & recession fears. 

On the other hand, Asia Pacific markets are seen giving mixed signals with Japan’s Nikkei 225 trading lower by 1.16 per cent while Shanghai climbing 0.29 per cent. 

At noon on Monday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 are trading marginally higher amidst extreme volatility & recession fears. 

On the other hand, Asia Pacific markets are seen giving mixed signals with Japan’s Nikkei 225 trading lower by 1.16 per cent while Shanghai climbing 0.29 per cent. 

 Sensex is trading at 58,151.28, up by 231.31 points or 0.40 per cent while Nifty 50 is at 17,247.55, up by 61.85 points or 0.29 per cent. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index is buzzing at 39,650.85 level, up by 0.88 per cent. 

  

The FIIs sold equity worth Rs 1,011.23 crore on Friday (October 14) while the DIIs bought equity for a net worth of Rs 1,624.13 crore.  

  

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack were State Bank of India, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank, Tata Consumer Products, and Eicher Motors. Meanwhile, the stocks pulling down the index were JSW Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Hindalco Industries, UltraTech Cement, and Apollo Hospitals. 

  

BSE Smallcap index is trading  at 28,509.29, down by 0.01 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were Lancer Containers Lines (9.51 per cent), BLS International Services (8.93 per cent), Suzlon Energy (7.61 per cent), IRB Infrastructure (7.57 per cent), and Anant Raj (6.31 per cent). 

  

On the sectoral front, BSE Utilities, BSE Power, BSE Private Bank, and BSE PSU were some of the top gainers on the bourses, trading higher by a per cent each while BSE Realty, BSE Metal, and BSE Oil & Gas, were some of the top wealth eroders on the bourses today.
