Despite the broader market weakness, Nitiraj Engineers' share price surged 7.44 per cent to Rs 184.63 after the company announced a key regulatory approval for its agricultural drone business.

DGCA Grants Type Certificate For NADR10 Drone

Nitiraj Engineers Limited informed the stock exchange that it has received a Type Certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, for its agricultural drone model "NADR10". The approval was granted under the provisions of the Drone Rules, 2021, allowing the company to manufacture and market the drone in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework.

The certificate, bearing No. T05260000094/00, confirms that the drone has successfully met the prescribed standards relating to design, Construction, specifications, performance and operational safety.

Nitiraj Engineers Designed For Precision Agriculture

According to the DGCA-certified technical specifications, the NADR10 is a medium-class hexacopter agricultural drone equipped with a 10-litre liquid spraying system and four flat-jet nozzles for agrochemical spraying applications. The drone has a maximum all-up weight of approximately 30.15 kg and is specifically designed for precision agriculture operations.

The drone incorporates several advanced features including autonomous flight termination systems, return-home functionality, geo-fencing capability and detect-and-avoid technology, supporting safe and efficient field operations.

Nitiraj Engineers Major Regulatory Milestone

The company stated that obtaining a DGCA Type Certificate is a rigorous and time-intensive process involving extensive testing, technical evaluations, documentation, quality compliance and regulatory scrutiny. The approval represents the culmination of several years of efforts towards product development, regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

Management believes the certification will strengthen the company's presence in India's emerging drone ecosystem and support its participation in the rapidly growing precision agriculture and agri-technology sectors.
