Top performing equity mutual funds so far in 2022; do you hold them?

Markets proved to be quite volatile in 2022 with Nifty 50 so far not even beating the interest rates provided on the savings bank account. In this article, we have highlighted the best-performing equity MFs so far in 2022.

Markets have been quite volatile in the year 2022 with Nifty 50 modestly underperforming the interest rates provided on the savings bank account. So far, Nifty 50 have returned 3.27 per cent, whereas a savings bank account’s prevailing interest rate is around 3.5 per cent to 4 per cent.

Having said that, there are equity mutual funds that have outperformed the market barometer. In fact, they have generated strong double-digit returns. Although this might find alluring, you should understand the inherent risk of those mutual funds before investing in them.

Following is the list of best-performing equity mutual funds so far in 2022. While coming up with the list we have eliminated exchange-traded funds (ETF), index funds and fund of funds (FoF).
