Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 133 points or 0.17 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.26 per cent, power plunged by 0.13 per cent, and auto slipped by 0.16 per cent.

Meanwhile, Northern Arc Capital Ltd, Jaiprakash Associates Ltd and Avantel Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.

 

Northern Arc Capital Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.32 per cent to trade at Rs 301.10 apiece. The company recently reported strong Q1FY27 results, with standalone net profit rising around 18 per cent YoY to Rs 122 crore and revenue increasing around 31 per cent YoY to Rs 770 crore.

Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.70 per cent to trade at Rs 72.45 apiece. However, the company was delisted from BSE and NSE effective June 18, 2026, following the completion of insolvency proceedings and Adani Group's acquisition.

Avantel Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.59 per cent to trade at Rs 163.95 apiece. The company recently received a Rs 117.88 crore contract from DRDO for the development, installation and commissioning of a ground segment hub for voice and data communication, with execution scheduled by February 2029.
