Markets Trading On A Flat Positive Note, Lok Sabha Results In Focus

Indian markets are trading in range bound trade, after tracking weakness in the Asian markets. All eyes are now set on the outcome of the Lok Sabha polls tomorrow and the markets are betting on a Modi led NDA government to come into power. INR is trading firm against dollar and stands at Rs 59.56 per USD. At the current hour Nifty is marginally higher by 4 points at 7112 and Sensex is up by 33 points to trade at 23846.
Indian markets trading on a flat positive note after tracking weakness in the Asian region. The Indian markets are trading positive, with Sensex and NSE Nifty up by 0.15% in today's early morning trade. Nifty is trading up by 4 points to trade at 7112 and the Sensex trades at 23846 up by 33 points.
The advance-decline ratio is on the negative side at morning session today. On the NSE, 1529 shares are trading in gains and 1912 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: NTPC is the top gainer in today’s morning session and is trading higher by 2.99%. It is followed by Sun Pharma, GAIL, Axis Bank and Tata Power.
Top Nifty Losers: Asian Paints is the top loser for today’s morning session and is trading lower by 5.12%. It is followed by Bank of Baroda, Coal India, NMDC and Ambuja Cements.
On the sectoral front 9 out of 13 indices are trading in green. Consumer Durable is the top gainer this morning as it surged by 88 points this morning. It was followed by Healthcare and Bankex, which were up by 84 points and 40 points respectively. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are down by 21 points and 23 points respectively in this morning session.
Global Markets are trading on mixed note at this morning. Nikkei is trading down by 134 points. Hang Seng, is up by 85 points. KOSPI and the Shanghai Composite were trading with nominal losses this morning.
Buzzers: Tata Steel stock is up and made day high and 52 week high at Rs 463.95 after company announcing Q4 results.
Nifty Future is trading at 7137 level above its support level which is at 7000.
