Markets Trading In Volatile Zone, Nifty Hits 7300

Benchmark indices swung between positive and negative terrain near the flat line after regaining strength, thereby showing signs of volatility. The Nifty is currently trading with a positive bias of 3 points at 7266 and Sensex is down 3 points at 24361. The NSE Nifty today touched a new high at 7300 in the morning trade.

The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side in the morning session. On the NSE, 2209 shares are trading in gains and 1278 shares are down.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Tata Steel is the top gainer for today’s morning session, up by 3.54%, followed by Sesa Sterlite, Infosys, Lupin and NMDC.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Coal India is down by 4.87% as of now. Hero Motocorp, ONGC, Reliance and PNB are also trading lower.
On the sectoral front, 8 out of 13 sectoral indices are trading in the green zone. Consumer durable was the highest gainer, up by 197 points, followed by IT, up by 131 points, and Healthcare which has gained 107 points. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are both are in green and trading up by 70 points and 154 points respectively. Among those in the red, Oil & Gas indices and Bankex were down by 288 points and 86 points respectively.
The Asian shares are reflecting a positive sentiment. The Hang Seng market is the top gainer this morning, up by 150 points. Nikkei has also gained 68 points. Taiwan Weighted and KOSPI are trading down.
Buzzer: Aban Offshore, stock opened at Rs 578 and jumped nearly 5.08% after hitting a 52-week record high of Rs 614.85.
The Nifty is trading at 7290 level and 7250 will be a major support for further trading sessions.
