Volatile Indices Ends On A Positive Note.

The Indian markets witnessed a wide swing in today’s trading session. In last few session, indices are witnessing highest volume in this year. In today’s session Banking and Auto stocks saw superb recovery and were up by more than 300 points each. Whereas Consumer Durables and Capital Goods also provided some support to the indices. On the other hand Oil & Gas and IT index remained in stress, and closed in red territory. The Nifty closed 39 points up at 8565 and the Sensex ended the day at 28355, up by 128 points.

In today’s session Banking and Auto stocks saw superb recovery and were up by more than 300 points each. Whereas Consumer Durables and Capital Goods also provided some support to the indices. On the other hand Oil & Gas and IT index remained in stress, and closed in red territory. The Nifty closed 39 points up at 8565 and the Sensex ended the day at 28355, up by 128 points.
The advance-decline ratio on NSE was on the negative side as the day ended with 1327 shares in green and 1404 shares in the red zone.
Top Nifty Gainers: Tata Motors gained 3.95% in today’s trade followed by ACC, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel and Grasim.
Top Nifty Losers: HCL Tech closed the day lower by 3.06%, followed by TCS, Sun Pharma, tech Mahindra and HDFC.
The sectoral indices closed on a mixed note. Bankex and Auto stocks saw massive recovery, up more than 300 points. This was followed by Consumer Durables and Capital Goods index that were up by 149 points and 103 points. However Oil & Gas and IT closed in a negative territory and were down around 85 points each. While Mid-Caps and Small-Caps ended on mixed note.
The Asian markets closed the day on a mixed note. Nikkei was down by 59 points. While Hang Seng and Straits Time closed in the positive territory, up by 7 points and 16 points respectively. While Taiwan and KOSPI saw some profit booking in today’s session.
Buzzer: Tata Motors was up more than 3.95% on the bourses today and closed near the technical level of Rs 565. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 575/582 mark in the next few sessions.
Nifty Future hold the technical level of 8500, indicating vital support on the lower levels.
