Indices Ends With Red Mark

The Indian markets witnessed a massive selling pressure at the end of trading session to wipe-out all the morning gains. The sensex fell more than 150 points from day’s high and ended down by 37 points at 28,171. The Nifty made deep dives and ended with 11 points down and closed at 8510 level. Both the indices closed down by -0.13% each.

The advance-decline ratio was on a positive side in the closing session. On the NSE, 1671 shares closed in green, while 1152 shares ended the day in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Asian Paints closed the day as the top gainer on the NSE, up by 5.24%. It was followed by Coal India, UltraTech Cement, HDFC and Tech Mahindra were the others that closed the day on a positive note.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: HCL Tech was the top loser, down by 3.47%, followed by Vedanta, NTPC, Hero Motocorp and Hindalco.
Most of the broader indices witnessed profit booking on the higher side. Auto was the top loser for the day, down by 56 points. It was followed by the Bankex and IT indices which fell by 45 points each. However Consumer Dubrales , Healthcare and Capital Goods sustain their positive momentum. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps indices too ended up by more than 50 points.
On the Asian front, The Hang Seng ended the day lower by 260 points. Followed by the Taiwan and Shanghai Composite which ended on negative note. However Nikkei market closed in positive territory up by 264 points.
Buzzers: HCL Tech witnessed downward movement and was down by around 3.4%. It also closed below the technical level of 940 which is the negative indicator for further trading session.
The Nifty Future sustained above 8500 mark, indicating good strength around the lower levels of 8470/8440.
