Trades Volatile, IT Fall By 1.4 Per cent

The Indian markets are volatile and continues with their opening losses in the mid-market trading session. IT, Bankex and Metals indices dragged the benchmarks on the lower side. The Nifty is trading down by 28 points at 7809, and the Sensex is 94 points lower at 25770. The indices are trading in a range of -0.20-0.30 percent.

The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side. On the NSE, 1239 shares are in the green and 1128 shares are in red.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Idea Cellular is leading the gainers list so far, up by 2.4%. NTPC, Asian Paints, Coal India and GAIL are also in gains.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: Hindalco is leading the losers list so far down by 3.3%, followed by Infosys, Vedanta, Tata Steel and Dr Reddys labs.

5 of the 13 sectoral indices are in the red. IT was the top loser, down by 179 points. Bankex and Metals were down by 52 points and 24 points respectively. On the other side, Consumer Durables has gained 117 points, Capital Good up 57 points and Auto has gained 25 points.

All the Asian markets are trading on a negative note from morning trading session. Hang Seng is the top loser so far, down by 50 points. Taiwan has also dropped 78 points. The KOSPI and Shanghai Composite were trading flat negative.

Buzzer: The stock of Infosys has witnessed a continuous fall from the morning session. The stock dipped by 3.2% made a low of Rs 1025. It has broken a major support at Rs 1030. If the stock sustains around this level, it may drop below Rs 1000 in the next few trading sessions.

The Nifty has taken support around 7800. If it drops below this level we may see more negative trade.
