Index Remains Range-Bound, Metals Weak

The Indian markets witnessed trading in a tight range from today's morning trade. The same scenario was seen in the Asian market, as the Hang Seng is trading lower by 93 points. However, the Taiwan and KOSPI continue to trade in the positive. The Nifty is currently trading down by 3 points at 7855 and the Sensex is down by 21 points at 25846. These indices are trading on a negative note between 0.02 -0.10 percent.

However, the Taiwan and KOSPI continue to trade in the positive. The Nifty is currently trading down by 3 points at 7855 and the Sensex is down by 21 points at 25846. These indices are trading on a negative note between 0.02 -0.10 percent.

The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side. On the NSE, 1441 shares are in the green and 933 shares are in the red.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Hero Motocorp is leading the gainers list so far and is trading higher by 3.79%, Aadani port, Zee Entertainment, Asian Paints and Bajaj Auto are among the other gainers.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: Hindalco is leading the losers list so far and is trading lower by 3.6%. It is followed by Vedanta, ITC, Tata Steel and Bank Of Baroda.

In the mid-market session, 10 out of the 13 sectors are seen trading in the green zone. Capital Goods and Health Care are having the highest gains, trading higher by around 80 points each. Consumer Durables, IT and Auto are up by 50 points each. Mid-caps and Small-caps are also both up by about 40 points each.

All the Asian markets are trading on a mixed note since morning. The Hang Seng is trading lower by 132 points. The Straits Times and KOSPI are trading on a positive note.

Buzzer: Hindalco has fallen by 3% because the BSE index exited the stock from index. However, the stock may recover from the lower end at around Rs 75. 

The Nifty future is struggling to break the 7880 level and sustaining above 7850. Both the levels will act important factors for the further moves.
