Day's Digest - Five stocks to watch out on March 4

The five stocks that may witness some kind of significant movement on March 4 in the markets are: Symphony, BHEL, Coal India, HDFC, and Dhunseri Petrochem

a)  Symphony:  Symphony’s management statement, business outlook going forward and views on Union Budget 2016-'17 on March 4, 2016, will be telecast in detail on the company’s website. The stock will be in focus for the whole day.

b) BHEL:  Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has commissioned its first super critical thermal unit in Karnataka.Its 700 MW super critical thermal unit is set up at Bellary. This is the third unit commissioned by BHEL at Bellary. 

c) Coal India: Coal India has offered 14 million tonnes of fossil fuel under special e-auction to both power and non-power sectors in order to facilitate liquidation of pit-head stock. The share will be in focus for the day.

d) HDFC: HDFC will raise Rs 1000 crore by issuing Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), to supply to its housing finance business needs. The housing finance company will issue secured redeemable NCDs on a private placement basis. The objective for the  issue is to augment the long term resources of the corporation.

e)  Dhunseri Petrochem: Dhunseri Petrochem has formed a joint venture with Indorama Ventures. The company has entered into an agreement with Indorama and its subsidiary Indorama Ventures Global Services (IVGS) to acquire 50 per cent stake in Micro Polypet (MicroPet) . MicroPet is into manufacturing polyethylene terephthalate (PET) having its plant at Panipat district in Harayana state with a capacity of 2.16 lakh tons.
