Indices End With Nominal Gains, Metals Shine

The Indian markets witnessed choppy trade after mid-market session. Sectors like Metals, Capital Goods and Auto provide some strength; on the other hand Bankex and IT were ended with negative note. The Nifty ended with gain by 11 points at 7614 and Sensex up by 17 points at 24900.
The Indian markets witnessed choppy trade after mid-market session. Sectors like Metals, Capital Goods and Auto provide some strength; on the other hand Bankex and IT were ended with negative note. The Nifty ended with gain by 11 points at 7614 and Sensex up by 17 points at 24900.
The advance-decline ratio ended on the positive side in the closing session. On the NSE, 1652 shares closed in green, while 889 shares ended the day in red.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Tata Steel closed the day with the top gains on the NSE, up by 5.2%. Hindalco, Ultra Tech Cement, ACC and Wicher Motors were the others that ended higher.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Bosch was the top loser, down by 2.9%, followed by Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, Infosys and ICICI Bank.
Most of the indices ended in the green. Metal was the top gainer for the day, up by 170 points. Followed by Capital Goods and Auto were up by 141 points and 101 points. Mid-caps and Small-Caps also saw good strength up more than 50 points each. However Bankex and IT were closed on the weak note down by 78 points and 57 points respectively.
In the Asian markets, the Nikkei ended lower by 17 points. On the other hand, the Hang Seng closed up by 29 points. The Straits Times and KOSPI ended on a positive note.
Buzzers: Tata Steel the stock outperforms and witnessed handsome rally more than5 per cent in today’s session. If it sustains above Rs 330 may see more up move to touch Rs 350.
The Nifty Future closed near the pivot level which is 7650. Tomorrow’s opening will decide further move.
