KEC International’s profitability has boosted in Q4FY16

KEC International has declared its Q4FY16 results on May 6. The company’s consolidated revenue has increased by 1.51 per cent to Rs 2559 crore in Q4FY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year.

The company’s consolidated revenue has increased by 1.51 per cent to Rs 2559 crore in Q4FY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year. Its EBITDA too has increased by 20.54 per cent to Rs 223 crore in Q4FY16 on a yearly basis. KEC International’s EBITDA margin has expanded by 137 basis points to 8.71 per cent in Q4FY16 as compared to same period in previous fiscal year. The company’s net profit has also increased by 26.97 per cent to Rs 79.85 crore in Q4FY16 on a yearly basis. Its net profit margin has expanded by 63 basis points to 3.12 per cent in Q4FY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year.
On the yearly front, KEC International’s revenue has increased by just 1 per cent to Rs 8516 crore in FY16 as compared to previous fiscal year. The company’s EBITDA has boosted by 33 per cent to Rs 679 crore in FY16 on a yearly basis. Its EBITDA margin has expanded by 200 basis points to 8 per cent in FY16 as compared to same period in previous financial year. KEC International’s bottom line has increased by 19 per cent to Rs 192 crore in FY16 on a yearly basis.
On segmental revenue front, KEC International has earned 73.74 per cent from Transmission & Distribution segment; 12.05 per cent from SAE segment; 9.75 per cent from Cables segment; 2.47 per cent from Railways segment; and 1.21 per cent from Water segment during FY16.
During FY16, KEC International won orders worth Rs 8714 crore amounting to 53 per cent from India; and remaining 47 per cent from the International front. The company’s order book has remained strong at Rs 9449 crore as of March 2016.
The share price of KEC International has increased by 4.72 per cent on bourses in early trades and is trading at Rs 128.9 on an intraday basis.
KEC International operates in the businesses of power transmission and distribution, and cables. The company is engaged in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC). It has powered infrastructure development in more than 61 countries.
