Overnight Digest – Stocks to look out for on May 24

The stocks which could witness significant movement on May 24 are Amara Raja Batteries, VRL Logistic Ltd., Piramal Enterprises Ltd., Jyothy laboratories Ltd., Cipla Ltd.,

a) Amara Raja batteries.: Company on May 24 is expected to declare its Q4FY16 results. Amara Raja Batteries, is a leading battery maker and power solutions provider. In Q3FY16 the company has reported a growth of 11 per cent (QoQ) and 33 per cent (YoY).

b) VRL Logistic Ltd.: VRL Logistics, the largest pan-India surface logistics and parcel delivery service provider, is planning to enter into aviation segment. The company plans to start a new airline. The company is operative in providing air chartering services.

c) Piramal Enterprises Ltd.: Piramal Enterprises, on Monday announced that it has invested Rs 425 crore in a central Mumbai project which is being developed by Lodha Group. The investment is in the premium residence category which is being developed by Lodha group in a area of more than 5 lakh sq ft. 

d) Jyothy Laboratories Ltd.: Jyothy Laboratories which manufactures products in the fabric care, household insecticides, utensil cleaners and personal care etc., post market hours on May 23 declared its Q4 results. Net profits for this quarter is up by 36 per cent, it is more likely that the stock may react to the results.

e) Cipla Ltd.: The Sensex stock is expected to declare its Q4 results on May 24. With the company’s major competitor Lupin posting a strong bottom line numbers, it could be further interesting to see the stock performance of the famous drug – maker.
