Indian markets may open weak

Indian capital markets remained flat on Thursday. Nifty failed to hold level of 8350. The Sensex increased 34.62 points or 0.13% quoting 27201.49; and the Nifty remained flat or rose 0.02% quoting 8337.90.

The Sensex increased 34.62 points or 0.13% quoting 27201.49; and the Nifty remained flat or rose 0.02% quoting 8337.90. All of the sectoral indices turned red except FMCG, Healthcare and Bankex indices during entire session on Thursday.

Wall Street initially opened higher due to a strong private sector employment data and a drop in jobless claims. US equity markets eased early gains on Thursday. The Dow Jones decreased by 0.13% to 17896. The S&P 500 also reduced by 0.09 per cent quoting 2098. However, U.S. benchmark crude, WTI increased 0.8% to USD 45.5, while Brent crude, the international standard, also rose 0.99% to USD 46.86.

Germany's main index, the DAX, increased 0.49% to 9419 along with France's CAC 40, which too rose 0.80% to 4118. Britain's FTSE 100 increased 1.09% quoting 6534.

Markets in Asia are trading with mixed trend during the morning session on Friday. The Shanghai Composite index declined by 0.86%. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index increased by 0.28%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index increased by 0.2% while New Zealand’s S&P/NZX 50 Index reduced 0.12%. South Korea’s KOSPI also declined 0.49%. The Hang Seng Index decreased by 0.53%.

While on domestic front, A SGX Nifty index future for July series is trading down by 15.5 points at 8354. Meanwhile, Indian markets are likely to open flat to negative.
