The Indian markets witnessed small profit booking during the mid-market session. The same scenario was seen in the currency segment, wherein the -INR was seen trading at around 66.77 to the dollar. The Nifty is trading down by 25 points at 8744 and the Sensex is down by 84 points at 28249. The indices are trading on a negative note between 0.28-0.30 per cent.

The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side. On the NSE, 1540 shares are in the green and 1076 shares are in the red.
