Indices struggle: Nifty ends below 8750 mark

The India markets faced some hurdles in the October 5,2016, session, with most of the stocks closing on a negative note. The Nifty ended lower by 25 points at 8743 and Sensex was 113 points down at 28220. The indices ended in the red by 0.29- 0.40 per cent each.

Majority of the sectoral indices closed in the positive in today’s session. Small cap was the top gainer, up by 81 points. While Auto and Metals were up by around 80 points each. Mid-caps, Capital Goods and FMCG also closed in positive territory. However Bankex, Healthcare and IT closed in negative territory.
In the Asian markets, the Nikkei closed up by 83 points. The Hang Seng index ended up by 98 points. While the Taiwan and KOSPI ended on a negative note.
European markets were also trading in negative scenario.

Nifty future closed at 8750; going ahead 8660/8620 will be vital supports.
