KEC International trades green after order win

KEC International has bagged orders worth Rs 1192 crore on October 12. These orders include transmission and distribution projects worth Rs 859 crore in India, Africa and the Americas.
KEC International has bagged orders worth Rs 1192 crore on October 12. These orders include transmission and distribution projects worth Rs 859 crore in India, Africa and the Americas. Its cable business received supply orders worth Rs 105 crore. KEC’s railway business has received Rs 120 crore. The company’s solar business has bagged Rs 108 crore.
KEC’s transmission and distribution order can be distinguished into two types. The company has secured EPC orders for Rs 631 crore for 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines from various customers in India. It has secured international orders of Rs 228 crore including supply orders across the Americas and Africa as well as a turnkey EPC order in Brazil.
As per company’s management, KEC is receiving substantial order wins in India. The company is continuing to consolidate its presence in the domestic market. It is continuing to invest its efforts towards diversification of customer base to include state electricity boards and developers of public-private partnership projects.
The share price of KEC International increased by 4 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 127.5 on an intraday basis.
