Quarterl Result: Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd., ended at Rs. 60.15, down by 1.1 points or 1.8% from its earlier closing of Rs. 61.25 on the BSE.
The scrip touched a high and low of Rs. 61.5 and Rs. 60 respectively, after opening at 60.1. Altogether 269858(NSE+BSE) shares have been traded on the counter; and the stock is trading above its 200 DMA.

Standalone Results Q2FY17:
Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd’s Q2FY17 standalone numbers are a mixed bag in comparison with Bloomberg estimates. Revenue for the period has come in 6.5% lower than the estimate of Rs 2,395 cr. However, reported net profit for the period has come in 4.7% higher than the estimate of Rs 121 cr.
The quarter's revenue has dipped 18.7% yoy to Rs 2,238.11 cr. Revenue from fertilisers segment has dropped 16% yoy to Rs 2170.12 cr whereas revenue from shipping segment has dropped 58% yoy to Rs 67.98 cr.
Chambal's EBITDA has expanded by 2% yoy to Rs 247.10 cr while EBITDA margins have improved 224 bps yoy to 11%. This was anchored by operational efficiencies and 33% yoy drop in other expenses to Rs 240.67 cr.
The company's net profit has dropped 1.5% yoy to Rs 127.11 cr. Other income has depleted 19% yoy to Rs 28.23cr.
