Container Corporation of India Ltd., ended at Rs. 1318.85, down by 29 points or 2.15% from its earlier closing of Rs. 1347.85 on the BSE. Net profit has dropped 31.9% yoy to Rs 158 cr majorly owing to 11.6% yoy dip in other income.

Standalone Results Q2FY17:
Container Corporation of India Ltd.'s Q2FY17 numbers are a mixed bag in comparison with Bloomberg estimates. Revenue has been reported 6.9% lesser than the estimate of Rs 1480 cr while EBITDA margin is 194 bps greater than the estimate of 15% and net profit is reported 25% lesser than the estimated figure of Rs 210 cr.
Revenue for the quarter has dipped marginally by 8.2% yoy to Rs 1379 cr.
CCI's reported EBITDA has reduced by 26.4% yoy to Rs 229 cr while EBITDA margins have shrunken by 410 bps to 17%, triggered by 18.8% and 42% yoy increase in other operating and other expenses respectively.
