Suzlon’s secures 50.4 MW project; shines on Dalal Street

Suzlon Energy secured 50.4 MW project from a leading business house. The company’s new project consists of 24 units of S95 90m tubular tower with rated capacity of 2.1 MW. Its project located in district of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. Suzlon Energy is expecting to complete the project by end of FY17. After winning the new order, the company’s current year order portfolio with the business house to 84 MW, out of which 33.6 MW worth orders were secured previously.

Suzlon Energy will provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of 20 years and also provide dedicated life cycle asset management services to the project. This project will provide power to more than 27000 households and reduce 0.1 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum.

Suzlon Energy’s order book continues to remain strong at 1136 MW valued at Rs 7165 crore in Q2FY17. The company’s new order intake at 449 MW in H1FY17 includes key orders in Q2FY17 from Oil India (52.50 MW) and 111.30 MW from corporates and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The share price of Suzlon Energy increased 2.61 per cent on the bourses in early trades and is trading at Rs 14.84 on intraday basis.
