Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail owned menswear brand Peter England is going to sell handloom shirts from its stores across India as part of collaboration with the Development Commissioner, Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles. 

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail owned menswear brand Peter England is going to sell handloom shirts from its stores across India as part of collaboration with the Development Commissioner, Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles. The company has collaborated with handloom weavers from Mangalgiri in Andhra Pradesh to develop a 'India Handloom Brand' collection. Under the collaboration, unique collection of shirts in 18-20 styles would be retailed at prices starting from Rs 1699 across Peter England stores in Delhi and NCR.

According to company’s management, it is presenting 17 designs in this limited edition which are available in 15 Peter England stores in Delhi-NCR.  The company plans to expand this collection to 75 stores from current 15 across the country in the coming financial year. Peter England intends to procure one lakh metres of fabric from various clusters being developed and nurtured by India Handloom Brand.

On the financial front, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail’s revenue increased 12.55 per cent to Rs 1878 crore in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis. Its net profit also rose 6.97 per cent to Rs 64.89 crore in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis.

The share price of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail increased 2.14 per cent on the bourses in early trades and is trading at Rs 139.4 on intraday basis.
