One more 'green' feather in BHEL's cap

Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) will implement one more green energy transmission project worth Rs 96 crore in Karnataka. The engineering and manufacturing company, BHEL, has received the order to this effect in green energy linked transmission corridor from power grid augmentation of three extra high voltage substations to be commissioned in next 18 months.

The engineering and manufacturing company, BHEL, has received the order to this effect in green energy linked transmission corridor from power grid augmentation of three extra high voltage substations to be commissioned in next 18 months.
The substations to be upgraded are 400/220 Kv at Pavagada, 400 Kv at Mysore and 400/220 Kv at Vasantnarsapur. The facilities with 10,000 acres land would carry out transmission system for evacuation of solar power; and would operate for transfer of renewable energy from the ultra mega Solar Power Park of 2000 Mw. The EHV equipment of the mentioned substations like 125 MVAr and 80 MVAr reactors will be supplied from Bhopal and Bengaluru units.
Currently, BHEL is executing the 765 Kv substation order received from power grid in Gujarat and Rajasthan for evacuation of renewable energy power under the green energy corridor.
