JSW Energy reports poor Q3FY17 numbers

JSW Energy Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 during market hours today. The consolidated numbers were very poor, both at the YoY and sequential basis.

JSW Energy Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 during market hours today. The consolidated numbers were very poor, both at the YoY and sequential basis.

The total sales for Q3FY17 came in at Rs 1904 crore, which represents a 6.99 per cent sequential decline and 26.74 per cent YoY decline.

The operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter amounted to Rs 413 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 21.69 per cent.

The company reported a PAT of Rs 21.4 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 90.16 per cent and a YoY decline of 93.08 per cent.

The company's stock closed at Rs 59.9 on the BSE on Friday, a fall of 2.36 per cent after the results were declared and is currently trading around Rs 59.9.
