Great Eastern Shipping gets a second hand Suezmax vessel

The Great Eastern Shipping Company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that it took delivery of a second hand Suezmax Crude Carrier 'Jag Laadki' (2,000 built) of about 1,50,000 dwt. The company had contracted to buy the vessel in December 2016.

With the inclusion of this vessel, the company's current fleet stands at 42 vessels, comprising 27 tankers (10 crude carriers, 15 product tankers, 2 liquefied petroleum gas carriers) and 15 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 6 Supramax) with an average of 9.54 years aggregating 3.38 mn dwt.
 
Additionally, the company has committed to purchase 2 second hand Suezmaxes.
