Listing of PSEs will increase accountability. Indian Railways' big subsidiary IRCTC, one of the fastest ticket booking website will be listed on various stock exchanges. The Government chalked out plan for listing on Exchanges to unlock true value of the companies.
Meanwhile, service tax on railway tickets booked via IRCTC has been withdrawn. The government has proposed listing of PSUs revised mechanism for time-bound listing of PSUs. It also proposes to create integrated PSU oil major.
